The UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, provides 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries. Endea Foundation commits to SDG 4 and 7. Many SDGs are interconnected with each other and to Endea an integrated approach implies maximising synergies and recogizing Digitalization and Electrification as the biggest accelerators of our selected targets for Subsaharan Africa.
Endea aims to contribute financially but also by bringing expertise in Innovation and Financing.
The aim of many organisations such as Endea is to measure and establish a link between educational outcomes and the quality of the environment, both within schools and the surrounding community. Development and growth of new digital and decarbonized systems could lay the groundwork for the development of local, sustainable commercial and industrial ecosystems.
Adoption of innovative technologies – digitalization and storage – accelerates the local electricity systems transformation. Electrification also helps retain good teachers in rural areas, as one of the major challenges for public education systems in sub-Saharan African countries. Poor teacher motivation and inadequate incentives have far-reaching adverse impacts on the performance of schools and thus learning outcomes.
